Signing Up for Email

Email goes only to people who asked for it, verified by a double opt-in step. Each send includes an unsubscribe link and a postal address, and unsubscribing takes effect straight away.

Control You Have

Readers in the UK and EU have GDPR rights; readers in California and other US states have comparable rights under CCPA/CPRA and similar statutes. In practice this means you can ask to see, correct, delete, or export your data, object to certain processing, and opt out of sale or sharing for advertising. We honour Global Privacy Control. The Information Involved

This site may collect technical visit data (IP address, device and browser identifiers, referrer, pages and times) and, separately, information you supply directly: subscription email addresses, comment names and addresses, and anything written in a message to us.

Specific to Suncarewise: we ask readers not to send us sensitive personal details, and we delete rather than retain anything of that kind that reaches us unprompted.

Safeguards

Retention is purpose-bound: analytics records expire on their provider’s cycle, mailing-list entries persist only while you remain subscribed, and comment data stays as long as the comment does. We restrict who can reach the data, serve the site over encrypted connections, and apply safeguards proportionate to the (limited) sensitivity of what we hold — no system is completely secure.

Why We Process It

The information is used to keep the site working, to understand which of our guides, comparisons and reference pages are actually read, to send the newsletter to people who asked for it, and — where advertising is served — to support that advertising.

Children’s Privacy

Suncarewise is not aimed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 13, or under 16 where that is the applicable age. We do not knowingly gather information from children, and anything of that kind that reaches us is deleted.

Third-Party Services

To publish at all we depend on third parties: hosting, analytics, email, and where applicable advertising. Each has its own privacy policy. Advertising and analytics vendors in particular act as independent controllers, so that policy — not this one — governs how they use what they collect.
